Do you mean "an intranet" or "an internet"?

There is no "an internet". Internet is worldwide computer network involving whole servers and computers connected each other.

Intranet is a small local computer network, e.g. in a company. It can only be accessed from inside the company. Usually computers in an intranet use private IP address, e.g. 192.168.x.x. This IP address cannot be accessed from outside the intranet.

"An internet" (note lowercase 'i') is any two networks that are combined. For example, say two universities have their own private connection. That's "an internet". Typically, most people don't deal with internets like this.

"The Internet" (note capital 'i') is the one with which you're most familiar, i.e. the World Wide Web. It links the vast majority of networks to each other, all over the world.

Also note the notion of "intranet": this is just another term for someones internal (generally private) network. In the example above, each of the two universities has its own intranet.

The term "internet" (lowercase "i") is short for "internetwork," meaning two or more networks connected together, regardless of whether they match in topology or even communications protocol.

The Internet (uppercase "I") refers specifically to the network through which you submitted your question. It was originally funded by ARPA (Advanced Research Projects Agency) in 1969 and has grown to what it is today.

Note that the Internet is NOT the same as the world wide web. The web is only one of many services available through the 'net. It is the most popular and now accounts for the bulk of net traffic, but there are many other services out there. Keep in mind the original 'net started in 1969. Tim Berners-Lee did not release his original web concept until 1991.

An internet: describes a bunch of computers connected together across multiple networks.

An intranet: describes a bunch of computers connected together on the same network.

The internet: generally refers to the world wide web.

This isn't 100% accurate - but it's the general concept.

There is no difference what so ever. the INTERNET or WEB or SUPER HIGHWAY. is a system to attain information about anything and everything. You can buy and sell items. you can study a subject, you can find out your ancestors. and many, many other things. you can download music, ebooks of information. and print that information in many cases for your own records. But there are things you need to know before you attempt to connect to the Internet. you need an anti-virus and a firewall program. these are needed to stop any infected files entering your PC and damaging it. so awareness is a factor. find out all you can before hand then decide if it's for you. hope this has helped you...PC MAN

There is nothing like "an internet" (weather small i or capital i). It is always like "The Internet".

And we can define the Internet as a group (very large group) of interconnected computers from all over the world.

evaluate it to a sneeze. A weigh down may be that tingling till now the deep breath in. courting may be the deep breath in till now the super bang. and of course love may be the super bang, the somewhat sneeze. A weigh down is in basic terms the 1st indications telling you you're involved in a guy or woman and throughout no skill does it recommend love, perhaps like. Love comes from understanding a guy or woman for an volume of time and a taking good care of that guy or woman that no person may be waiting to get rid of. regardless of the reality that, i don't have self assurance love is close to as huge as all of us makes out to be. yet that doesn't recommend you will desire to bounce on the 1st danger that grants itself. besides, i don't think of there's a border-line between the two. this is greater like a enormous field.
