I don't support everything he says and does, that would be impossible, or just blind alliance, and that ain't me .
But I do understand where he's coming from . He has a very firm belief that what we're doing over in Iraq is imperative to all our safety . And ya gotta give him credit that he's been willing to give up his own personal popularity , in exchange for what he believes is Right !!
Think about that . Who else is willing to allow so many others to hate him , when a change or two would bring more popularity ? Our politicians change their political stances almost weekly to gain more support , rather than sticking to what they really believe in, if anything .
And who among you is God ? Who among you know for sure that we won't be attacked on our own soil, possibly devastatingly and regularly, if we don't continue to keep them bogged-down fighting us elsewhere ?
Some of you think new leadership will favor your opinions , but it won't all the time .
And what will you say then ?

I find it amazing that a well thought out question using common sense and rational still produces the same answers from the far left. How do they honestly feel someone like Clinton would do in the set of circumstances handed to George Bush? Everyone constantly complains that politicians will sell their souls for political power yet, as you point out, this President "sticks to his guns" and follows through with his convictions. Again, like you, I don;t agree with all of his decisions but I support him because I believe he is honest in his convictions... even if he does not have the "silver tongue" Clinton had. The left also hides behind the statement that all would be good if we "just stayed in Afghanistan"..... that's like a doctor saying... "we took care of the cancer in your lung and we noticed some cancer in the heart.... but, the heart wasn't a part of the operation so we closed you back up. We recommend waiting until it actually becomes a problem before we do anything about it."

To agree with everything a leader says is a weak system..
The majority of those who are going to matter in this next election are going to stay silent and use their vote to surprise a lot of people.. But I am seeing an opposition by fire here.. Meaning a lot of people flinging out accusations through hatred for our nation as a whole..
Take a look at what happened in Michigan with their governor Jennifer G.. She raised taxes, cut spending on needed programs like police protection, cut out jobs and made it impossible for companies to make it there.. The housing is destroyed by her attacks of taxes.. Foreclosures everywhere in the state.. It's a mess.. How in the heck are you going to get tax money when you killed the jobs??.. The companies??.. Think again, they are all out of buisness..
Study it for yourselves and come back and say the system is perfect that they offer us.. Michigan is the example of what is in store for ya!!.. After the war in Iraq ends, what kind of improvements can we expect?? They are only keeping us in the dark by there fighting.. And everyone knows why we are going thru this.. We don't own the money making companies anymore.. Other countries do!!.. How long are you going to make it when your own house is sending most of your money to area's that aren't brought back through the system??.. Common, all that we buy from China, do they spend that money here??.. NOOOO.. Oil?..NOOOOO.. How long do you think this system can last??..
Just don't be rail roaded people.. the issues aren't just Iraq, but you are being blind sides with it, because this is the only chalk they have to gain control..

I don't hate the president. He has not been at all presidential however, during his administration. His most glaring flaw is that he surrounds himself and his administration with politicos or idealogues, whose first priorities are either the preservation of power for themselves and/or the establishment of their ideaology, as opposed to the welfare of the citizenry. What else could possibly explain Karl Rove's prominent position within the administration.
He has no one in his administration to play the role of devil's advocate, or to challenge assumptions expressed by others. This fault has trickled down into other administrative departments. The firing of 8 U.S. Attorneys because they weren't loyal enough to the president (even though they were republicans) is indicative of the priority of politics over performance that is characteristic of the administration. This is a glaring departure from previous presidents of both parties. I have the impression that he has no real concept of the possible downside to the American public of most of the important decisions he makes. There would certainly appear to be no thoughtful consideration of those possible downsides. One need look no further than the Iraq conflict for validation of this flaw.
It is one thing to thoughtfully consider all sides of an issue, make a decision based on that analysis and be resolute in the judgment made. It's quite a different thing to refuse to consider or even hear other points of view, make the decision you want to make for either political or other reasons regardless of what careful analysis would indicate, and then stubbornly refuse to revisit the decision when it is apparent to all reasonable thinking humans that the decision was an error and based on faulty information, or a lack of true analysis.

WOW Earnest...the amount of people who actually 'hate' the president is unbelievable!
Even if I disagree with the President.....which on some issues I fully do.....I don't HATE the man...
Hate is a very, very strong term....I give the man credit for standing his ground...not giving in to 'popular' demand...and doing what he believes is right.
If many, many people of this country would take a page in personal beliefs...they would NOT change opinion in the face of adversity....
But then again....hate has become a VERY fluent word in the English language....and the squeeky wheel gets the grease....so if they yell loud enough....someone's going to give them attention!
Try not to hate people.....negativity BREEDS negativity!

I didn't like Bush before he had control and I don't like him now. As far as going down in history, either bad or good, he definitly will make the books. I feel that all the terrorist acts on U.S. soil stem from when his father was President, had Bush not gotten the President position I really believe 9/11 would have never happened, they don't like us, they didn't like Sr. and they sure don't like Jr. I think we had come along way making friends with other countries, which has now been all undone. I am more fearful now, than I have ever been. When I was a child I remember seeing the fall-out shelter signs all over our town, and the T.V. use to do warnings every now and then, as I grew the signs came down and the warnings stopped. Now I try to remember where I need to go, what I need to bring, I keep batteries, canned food, weather gear, Dr. info and anything else I need for my family to stay protected, and personally that is a shame. I was never scared with Clinton, Regan, or anyone in my time, but now I'm scared to death, I sleep with a gun and knife under my mattress, and have even considered digging a hole in my yard and making my own shelter. Bush has put us in a very terrible terrifing position, for his on beliefs, no not everyone shares his belief, no not everyone respects or understands him, but one things for sure EVERYONE is scared and sleeps with one eye open. And whos to say his term is about to end, terrorist came in with a bang at the beginning of his term, don't be surprised if they go out with one to

I have never hated the man, just disagreed with him at times. I find it difficult to believe that the conflict in Iraq will prevent extremists from striking on our soil again. They are patient, we are not.
I am positive that whoever is the next leader, I will disagree with them at times as well.

It's the Democrats idea of leadership... say what ever the people want (even if you have to make up lies). Change your mind every time the media publishes a new poll. Then when confronted with facts that you did say the original, have amnesia and don't remember until it's time to write a book.

You are talking about integrity. George W has it.
W has consistently chosen the difficult issues and taken a stand. Social Security, Iraq, education, etc. W is a good President. I voted for him twice, if I could I would vote for him again.
Clinton by comparison always checked the latest opinion polls and stroked Hollywood before saying a single word. Clinton had no integrity.
