He will have had 4 years in the US senate. He has 7 years experience in a state legislature, and many years of experience in working with community organizations. He's a constitutional law professor at a premier law school, and the former editior of the Harvard Law Review. I'd say that's a lot of qualifications.

Obama is often associated witn inexperience although there are great Presidents like him such as Abraham Lincoln before becoming a President.

I think the real issue is getting him to express his position. He seems to be the media darling, and he hasn't really been thrown anything but soft-balls. He seems to appeal to the current generation of jaded, cynical 20 somethings.
