BellOrangeBell, you did an outstanding job of misinterpreting what should have been a pretty straight-forward question. Intellectual pursuits means exactly that. I am interested in politics, history, travel, astronomy and an array of other subjects which I cannot delve into as much as I'd like to. I do not wish to "be relieved of my existing responsibilities," as you insist; rather, I am seeking advice as to how I, or anyone else living in this time-starved society of ours, can find time to pursue whatever it is they wish to pursue (for me, that would be my personal studies). As I am still fairly young, I am not married and do not have any children; I am contemplating deferring marriage or forgoing it altogether so as to not "trap" myself into a perpetual cycle of responsibilities and sleep.
