Well if you are looking to build a tower I can make you some thing pretty sweet.. All the Bells and Whistles for that price.

If you aren't interested in my services I would go for a 3 GIG CPU.. About 2 GIG of RAM and at least 100GB Hard Drive with a standard plain Jane case, Maybe a fancy one off EBay like an ATX Mid Tower or something along those lines... Unless you are wanting to do gaming.. then that's a whole different story.

ok for 600$ you should get a fairly good computer.

this ended up to about 450$ and should be great. after you add a dvd drive and hard drive and cd rom drive and cpu cooler of your choice it should average out to aobut 600$. i reccomend if you want it even faster get more ram(2 gigs) and that should be it. make sure not to buy the exact things i reccomended because they may not fit together, i was just giving you a general idea of what to do. hope i could help
