If you're female, lubrication will become your next best friend.
If you're male and the pain is being caused by friction, lubrication is also suggested as you're chafing due to the lack of lubrication in your parter.
Sex can be painful due to lack of lubrication but can also be due to other factors such as being unprepared for the sexual act.
Try loosening up and enjoying the act more, which can be hard, i know, but still iomages running through your mind can help make sex enjoyable even though they may seem like a turn off to your partner as he does not know what you are thinking,
Medication can also be causing the lack of lubrication due to lack of sex drive but in time you can overcome this.
I hope all does go well.

Suggestion depends upon your gender. If you are a woman, start using some good lubricating creams. If the pain still persists, consult your gynac. If you are man, then check the fore skin whether it slides back during erection. If not, you may have to go for a circumcision. You can also try using some good lubrication and see. If the pain still persists, consult your family doctor first.

If your male and its from you penis then go to the doctor
If your male and the pain comes from your behind(a.s.s) then use lubrication
and if the pain is from friction then use lubrication
If your female then it will hurt when your still tight

The condition, if physical, is called dyspareunia....
Work with your partner to find ways to achieve orgasm without pain and go to see a doctor that specializes in this issue...Most urologists can give you a consult....

Consult with your doctor who is qualified, trained, and licensed to give you proper medical advice. People on this site are not. Good luck.
