PC also hangs frequently.

Don't be too sure HARDLY ANY SPACE is found. If you are REALLY right, there could be some hidden files in it like destkop.ini. You cannot delete it as your whole desktop will go burzerk.

Having an icon for everyprogram you use on your desktop, serves no purpose. You should only have the icons for the programs you go into several times a day. You can access all the other stuff thru' start, the programs and select the program you want. Just delete all those except the ones you use several times daily. DONT delete your trashcan!!!
