i'm a sri-lankan too, but i have been living in italy since i was nine. it's at times like this (during cricket world cups) that i REALLY wish i was in my homeland.
anywayz. we only lost the super eight match against Australia because Murali, Vaas, and Lasith malinga weren't playing.
Australia is gonna get their as*ses kicked in the finals.

Best of luck to Sri Lanka against their opponents in the finals of ICC World Cup 2007 (we shall know today who it is going to be). This comes from an Indian. Sri Lanka is a good cricketing side which has reached the finals on its own merit. India sent a talented side too, which couldn't click due to a variety of reasons. Since India is out of the tournament, it really doesn't matter to us as to who wins the cup. May the best team win.

After the early exit of India & Pakistan, the Asians like me have been rooting for Sri Lanka and my predictions for the 1st Semi-final came true. A professional approach and a good victory. If the Sri Lankans can keep up the same tempo and put in another professional display like y'day, whether it is Aussie or SA, they can win the cup. Keep cheering guy, I'm with you.

Being a sri lankan i hope sri lanka willl win. If sri lanka were not there i wuld have supported any other asian teem which would have been in their place.
Let the Asians bring the cup. No more Aussie domioniation in cricket.
Asians play the game with spirit while the Aussies with Laptops. Hope India and Pakistan will come back to form.

Im a sri lankan and i really appreciate all of you people who support sri lanka just like we supported our immediate neighbour India in 2003 finals.This is how we think.First you have to support your country then your region.I appreciate you people for doing that.
This is not a battle between sri lanka and india.We should remember that.For sri lankans who are trying to outshine indians i must tell you its not the most appropriate thing to do.
Then for the Indians who hate sri lanka due to the fact they got kicked out by Sri lankans I must tell them that it wasnt sri lankas fault.It was indias fault.They should have at least beaten bangladesh so that even the loss to sri lanka wouldnt have mattered.Sri lankans played their naural game.
So let us make this an opportunity to develope our intimacy among asians.We all hail from a one origin.Aryans!All of us indians pakistanis sri lankans bangladeshis hail from a one country called MAHA BHARAT which belongs to asia.We represent the same region.We are a one unit.Im really surprised to see some indians saying that they hate sri lankans and they support kiwis,aussies and proteas. coz whenever sri lanka gets out of a competition we support our remaining neighbours india pakistan or banglaseshis.
Personally I feel that Australians have the best opportunity to win the world cup for the third consecutive time.Sri lankans will have to work hard to beat them and it will be extremely difficult.Aussies are superior to lankans but who knows.
Lets hope that this times finals wont be like 2003 finals where our brother indians lost to mighty aussiees.Aussies will try to repeat it.Lets see whats going to happen.

I desire that Sri Lanka will win yet in truth i imagine that Australia will win the global Cup because Australia have performed extra helpful cricket with the help of the experience thus far and they have a more advantageous crew.

Indian lost not because of Sri Lanka... Because they haven't had any players in their side..all actors... Actors do only acting.. so did acting with Bangladesh and with Sri Lanka.. SO THEY LOST.. and look at the way Indians treating their cricket players now.. throwing stones to their house and cars.. Non of the Lankan will do that if our team lost in Semi or Final.. Still we welcome them as a HEROs…. Go Sri Lanka Go… kick some asses
