25 years ago I holidayed at the Dominican Republic (back then not a developed destination). I met this girl, fell in love, send a fax back home to my boss and gave notice.

I stayed, moved into her little hut by the beach, gave windsurf lessons and translated for some business people and tourists and despite we had no running water, no electricity, no nothing, we lived a dream and it was paradise. The evenings, sitting in front of the "house", watching the sundown and holding her in my arms is impossible to top.

I've had lots of wonderful romantic moments in my life, the latest one was renewing our marriage vows on a beach in Cairns 2 weeks ago with my cousins, auntie and uncle, they couldn't get to our wedding 23 years ago so we made sure they came to our renewal and it was very, very romantic too.

The whole hotel staff already knew he was going to do it becuase he asked for certain things,so they all clapped when he asked me!
