Your mom has every right to get into your "business" - you are still legally and actually a child and she is responsible for you. If your mother, at 39, liked the same music and clothes that you like, I'd say she had better grow up and act her age. Apparently, she likes and behaves like a mother of 39 should. Who supports you? Who puts food on the table and clothes on your back? Who takes you to the doctor and takes care of you when you're sick? Your mom. I think you need to realize she may be suffering, too. It's not ALL about you, you know? And perhaps you would be better up if you thought about how to change YOU, and not her. Until you are 18 and self-sufficient, she is the boss. Being a mom is not as easy as you think. Have a little compassion for her. Ask her about her own childhood, and you'll understand her better. Take care. God bless you both.
