Much like the wishfull thinking about that new planet.
After dozens of probes and visits to the surface no one is still sure if MARS has or does not have LIFE now or EVER
How does one make such an appraisal through undultations of waves!
If that's the case let's stop sending expensive probes and do all out research by Earth and Hubble based wave undullations if they are so darn accurate!

It is true that Darwin didn't just think of it out of the blue.
The general notion that species developed, or that other species have existed before, was already present.
