I haven't found anything about a spectator being killed but a horse in Lalru, India, died after being struck by an errant cricket ball, apparently. The horse was traveling on the road alongside the cricket pitch when it was struck in the head. According to a report, the horse ran several meters before it died. Police have filed charges against "unidentified cricketers."

I don't know if anyone was killed while watching a cricket match, but a former Indian player called W.V.Raman was killed, while he was fielding at short leg and a ball hit him smack on the side of the head. He wasn't wearing a helmet. It was a club match in Bangladesh, I think.
