I'm going for a rhinoplasty operation in 2 weeks time - I booked it today with the hospital. I was fine until today and now I am like so nervous that I feel sick. I know I really want to do the operation and it is low risk, in my case, but I feel so scared.
Can anyone tell me how to calm myself down.
Love from a stressed girl!

First, really be sure it is what you want to do and don't be afraid tp change your mind if you decide to not go through with it. It is totally up to you. That is one good thing. It is not a surgery that is dangerous or unusual or life threatening. It is a common surgery and you will be much happier, feel better and feel better about yourself once you have it done. You will be fine and it will be over before you know it. The recovery will be harder than the surgery itself. I have had many back surgeries, you will be fine. Say a prayer, relax and think about how you will feel and look once it;s done. Good luck to you!

explain yourself to your doctor, he/she can give you something to calm you down.
if you don't do drugs you might try reading, walking, writing or meditate like yoga and that kind of stuff.
i find distraction is best.
