I haven't done ballroom and latino dancing when I was a child, a year ago I started dancing as a hobby, but I want it to be more than a simple hobby.

Yes it is possible. I know people who did. It depends on your dedicaton and unfortunatelly on many other things like do you have the resources like money and good teachers in your area. Becoming a ballroom teacher won't be too hard. There are different types of teachers specializing in teaching complete beginners, social dancers and competitors of all levels. Becoming a social dance teacher requires experience and a good temper, but it's not too physically demanding on your body. So you can always have this as a backup plan. Becoming a highly-ranked professional competitor will be kind of hard, possible but hard, because you don't have those extra years for mistakes and wrong directions. It takes about 4-5 years to get to the Champ level IF all goes well. Again, not saying that it's not possible or a bad idea...

I have students that start their dancing at ALL AGES. The youngest I have is 15, others have started as late as 45 and even older.... so 25 is not late at all... I was 24 when I first started to teach ballroom dancing in 1974. So I say-- go for it!

It is great exercise and a superb way of meeting others who are into dance.

In the book of James in the New Testament you can find a quote that goes something like this: "Faith without works is dead". Yet in still another new testament place you find that "Salvation comes through faith and not of works, lest any man should boast." Do these two contradict one another? I do not think so. If you used your sincere faith today to accept Jesus and died an instant later without time for good works, you would still go to heaven just like the thief on the cross. On the other hand, if you say you are a christian, and you live like the devil then more than likely, the truth is not in you. The good book says we can tell a tree by the fruit it bears. If someone were truly saved for any length of time, starting out as a spiritual baby, good works would begin to appear and works of the devil would certainly diminish and ultimately go away. But we all need to grow. Always.

yes of course! if you have the desire to learn, it can become more than a hobby. I'm a dance instructor, so if you are interested in private lessons in ballroom, and you live in the Inland Empire, you can contact me for lessons. If you do not live in southern california, I could also let you know of some places near you where you can get legitimate dance lessons.

It will be difficult to become one of the top professionals with the later start, but there are few who get there anyway. A professional career especially in general teaching is well within your reach. It isn't at all unusual for pro's to take off a few years for family or financial reasons and get back to it when circumstances are better for them. I know several. So talk to some pro's, and dive on in if you want.
