A Brave New World, A Huxley

All these things happening under the watchful, knowing eyes of the government. Brilliant

"War and Peace" - Leo Tolstoy.
A monster of a book, but you just get dragged into it and feel like you're really there amongst it and part of the characters' lives. I've never known any writer get you 'under the skin' of every character so completely. You gotta try it - but stick with it!

The Bible, because I'm Christian.
Ivan the Fool, because it holds Christian values.
And oddly enough, a manhwa book called R2D2, because it holds a simple story about life and death.
