I stayed at the Wynn, and although it was exquisite and high class you need a lot of $$$ to enjoy it (I mean $10 for a ham and cheese sandwich?). Forget in suite coffee kettles, and don't touch anything in the high priced mini fridge/bar as you may get charged for it - everything is sensored for movement. And don't try ordering out for a pizza unless you want to be embarrased and looked down upon. In Vegas, you can go into any top hotel and wander around and gamble etc. for free. I would book a moderately priced hotel (you basically just want a bed to sleep in as you will be out most of the time) and go from there. Hope this little bit of info will help.

There are too many ways to answer that Q. Top hotel for what?

I would rate Caesars Palace at the "top" overall resort.

The Venetian has my favorite "rooms"

Wynn & Bellagio are very high class

If you're interested the "Las Vegas Review Journal" each year chooses it's "best of" > Go to their web site.
