...actually "reported" the news instead of cherry picking the best sales stories. What do you think America would do with the current administration? They certainly got it all out on Clinton, image if 1/5 of everything damning about Bush was actually released to the public. Can you say, lynching? No wait, life in maximum without parole, even better (and cheaper than a legal death sentance at the federal level).

The American press is seriously lacking in diversity and unbiased reporting. I give credit to Keith Olbermann more than ANY TV "personality". Amazing and pathetic that a former sports caster surpasses the reporting skills of all seasoned and newly created news anchors.

That are currently reporting that is. Lou Dobb's would be good if he didn't contradict himself.

I am more than willing to admit I may have the wrong idea regarding the medias treatment of Clinton, but I am not well versed on EVERYTHING you said. I must say Bush gets away with a hell of a lot more. He has broken too many treaties and laws on the international scene, the damage caused by that will not be mended soon if ever.

Mainstream media is owned by Corporate America, Bush's other sponsor, and runs the media for profit. Bad news does not sell male enhancement products or face cream for women. Our media is for entertainment, not news. Entertainment, and pro corporate candidates will get media support. Anyone who would suggest we should not be killing Iraqis for control over their oil is not going to get positive air time.
Anyone who is going to say bad things about Bush, the corporate poster boy, will not be heard at all.

The press would rather "steer public opinion" than let public opinion take its course through information. If you really believe the press was "hard" on Clinton you weren't paying attention. The press was actually complicit in covering ol' Willie's rear end. Whitewater ring a bell? Lying to the Grand Jury? Lying to the American People? Balancing the budget with junk bonds that won't mature till the year 2040? Using the Social Security fund to declare a monetary surplus? Raising taxes to the highest levels in US history? Slashing funding to the military, CIA and FBI. Firing the White House staff of 17 years and replacing them with Arkansas cronies.It was all swept under the rug.
Bush, on the other hand, has been constantly attacked by the press and called every name in the book. Every move he makes is a "scandel" in the eyes of the press.
You'd better take another, longer look at things before you rush to judgment on this one.
