That turned out well huh? High school superstar now getting disowned by the Celtics. His career has fallen so low that there are And1 scouts during Celtics games. OJ Mayo seems to be going down the same path. A high school phenom grows a big head because of too much hype and goes to the NBA to discover it's not all about talent

lets hope he doesnt go down the road of highschool superstar who had no business coming out. NY City hype...pat me on the back and tell me how good i am..mayo doesnt seem to realize that character is part of the game..based on comments he made at hs all star games..but at least hes not living off his 'cousins' rep like telfair...

Well hopefully thats not the case considering the fact that any player in H.S. must play at the collegiate level for at least one season b4 he can enter the NBA Draft. So Lebron James and Andrew Bynum were the last enter the nba strait outa H.S. OJ should learn something about team basketball b4 he enters the draft. thats if he enters the draft. i know he wants to, but we will see how well he play in college for a year b4 i make any conclusions.
And yes ur right, Sebastian Telfair has become wasted talent. He could be one of the best PG's in the league, but he continues to think only of himself when he play the game. He did the same thing in Portland and lost his starting role. And now hes got his second gun possession charge in a matter of 2 years i think. Im sorry but, if ur an NBA player, what is the point of carrying a gun around everywhere you go. You make millions of dollars every year. Is he even registered to carry a gun. And the funny thing is that both times he got caught with a gun he blamed it on his girlfriend and said it was hers. Dude needs to get his issues straight and learn to grow up.

Hope not. He seems to be a great player, but with what i read, he can still polish his game a little more. He should stay in college for at least a year or two, so that the NBA scouts can have a feel of what he can really do.

Can we see what he does in college first? gosh, give him a chance. I don't think he even owns a gun lol. Telfair wasn't ready anyway, it was a dumb pickup from the start. But we'll see. Aight then bless.
