Didn't want to depress or burden your friends with your excessive life difficulties while you were straightening out details of your life.

There can be all sorts of reasons; stress, depression, being preoccupied with other things, or just thoughtlessness.

You don't have to be on the phone every day to friends for them to know you care about them. I have friends all over the country (and the world) who I rarely see or speak to, but when we do get back in touch, it's just like it always was. A real friendship will stand a test like that.

My friends also know I am pretty bad at keeping in touch, and they don't hold it against me, and nor would I them. There is nothing worse than calling a friend after a long time only to get an earful of abuse for not having called sooner. That's guaranteed to stop you bothering again.

Probably that they fancy you and that they dont know how to tell you and they probably think you arent interested in them so they are trying to let you go could be one.

Or it could be that you have done something in their eyes that is simply unacceptable for them to see a future in being friends with you anymore.

Or it could be they are just busy with work.

It might be best to just move on and find friendship elsewhere, depending on how you feel about the person and how you think they are responding to you.
