I had four fish. One died about a year ago, one about 6 months ago, then the last two both died on Valentines Day. They were ten years old. They all went down the porcelain highway.

You want to grill, burn, flush AND bury it?!! There'll be nothing left to bury!
Flushing it isn't very dignified - it'll end up in the poop.
Why not bury it it the garden and plant something on top of it. It can take all the nutients out of the fish and be a fishy plant.

oh my lord!, you must have chosen a real bad name for your fish if it's dead already!!
Just flush it down the toilet and say a prayer, hoping it will come back as a whale or something (but not back up through the toilet - imagine the mess)!!.

grill it??? oh, it's too henious for words~

no, i think the whole 'flushing' thing has become a traditional and more favourable way of sending them to the other realm. i think it makes more sense to send fishes or other water creatures with a 'water' related funeral because it's more close to their natural living state. burying a fish just sounds weird and unnatural.

All but one of my fish I flushed.
One I buried. I got him as a fifteen cent feeder fish that wasn't even a half inch long. Five years and seven inches later he died of fin rot. He was a good fish. Never did have a name though. He was just The Fish.

My newphews goldfish died..they flushed it. He looked at his mom and said "OK Mom now, when do we get pet # 2." sighed at her like she was hopeless and left the room. Something tells me the goldfish wasn't his choice of "pets".
