I'm torn between Susan Sto Helit and Granny Weatherwax.
Susan, who manages to walk a fine balance (sometimes through walls and outside of time) between being human and having the memory and some skills of Death. She is so often frustrated with the stupidity of the world and the fact that following the natural law of things means that you often can't stop the stupid things that have somehow been decreed to happen. I relate to that struggle.
And as for Granny Weatherwax, how can you not admire someone who is a bad witch by inclination, but a good witch by instinct?

definite. i love Terry Pratchett's books fairly the Discworld sequence. My familiar characters are lack of life, Susan, the Lancre witches. reading Terry Pratchett continuously supplies me a sturdy snort. to favor to marry Granny Weatherwax you need to be a glutton for punishment. Do you've a masochistic streak?

Anathema Device. Because I think that's the greatest name ever. Incidentally, I KNOW that one was written with Neil Gaiman - just to stop the pedants in their tracks.

I would probably be catagorized as the Librarian, which is pretty damn good; but I think I would rather be DEATH, he has the best lines, and always has the final say.

Lord Vetinari - gets to wear black, is always two steps ahead and has a sable coat of arms on his black coach - way cool!
