Hmmm.... well, for a gourmet walk on the wild side, you can try the Big Four restaurant in the Huntington Hotel. Very upscale and pricey, but for fun they feature one or two nightly game dishes. Past offerings have included buffalo, ostrich, alligator and antelope. And if you don't like your experiment, you can always fall back on their amazing classic chicken pot pie.

Depends on what is 'bizarre' to you. You can get testicles and internal organs at almost any Asian restaurant. Sakana Sushi in the TL is upscale but offers a great deal of things I won't eat. Most Pho places offer testicles and the like. Also, Hard Knox Cafe still has Oxtail I think. Eddie's on Divis used to offer it, but don't think it was very successful. Try a thread on Yelp.com because most any foodie on there can point to you especially weird stuff

Well, a lot of the foods from "Bizarre Foods" can be found in ethnic restaurants throughout the area. For instance, if you go to a really authentic Chinese or Dim Sum restaurant, you can get crazy stuff like chicken feet. And most authentic Mexican taco trucks and taquerias have unusual meats, like tongue and intestine. Also, every Vietnamese restaurant I have been to has pho made with various things like tendons.
One place I know of by name is T.K. Noodle, and was in San Jose. My fiance went there, and unknowingly ordered the noodle soup with beef testicles in it.

I suggest you either ask somebody who has lived in San Francisco for at least 15 years or look in the 2007 telephone book for ideas. There was at several years ago a restaurant in San Francisco named "HIPPOS". Check it out. It is great !
You may even qualify to win the ongoing contest, which is to suggest a bizarre type of hamburger--such as a "Banana-Split ice cream sundae burger". Have Fun !

In Emeryville, CA there is a Public Market and it has like 20 different eateries in there representing different countries.
Emeryville is right next to Oakland and is less then 10 mins. from San Francisco. Why don't you try China Town.

For a great day trip with unusual foods you can go to places like Calistoga or Sonoma. Some of those chefs seem to be having fun with their clientele.
You might want to sign up for this newsletter, as it seems to be of your taste.
