She is Brahmin Girl & he is Vaish boy. Both are Hindu by religion. Must be of marriageable age, girl must be more then 18years & boy must be more then 21 years. Definitely they will not be within the degree of prohibition relationship or Sapinda relationship as both belong to different Hindu caste. Both must be mentally sound & not suffering from any mental disorder or suffering from any insanity or epilepsy. Both must be unmarried or not having spouse living at the time of marriage. So from legal point of view this marriage is possible. Yes both the relatives will agree for such a marriage as nowadays no one bothers about caste of the boy or girl, only thing in question is the financial status of the boy & homely nature of the girl, this I tell you from my experience, I have seen many inter caste marriages between Brahmin & vaish people in recent year so let them go ahead with this proposal. If the elder brother of the girl has any objection better he should mind his own business , he has no right to interfere in her marriage, and the girl is quite mature & takes her independent decision herself. The girl need not bother about her brothers interference she can marry this man herself either in a temple according to Hindu form of marriage or before the marriage officer/registrar under the Special Marriage Act,1954

I can understand your predicament. To give you a traditional
answer quote this old saying to the girls brother.
Manon kulam pratam pratistham. When both their minds
agree with each other hell with astrology and the big
brother. Tell them to go ahead. Also add that all our
relations in this life are karmic and nobody owns one another.
In Maha bharatha also there are tales of even lord krishna
arjuna defying and marrying to their agreeable partner.
Talking about the issue of brahmin - who is a brahmin and
Yuddhistra answers to a query of yaksha that not by birth but
by deed one is a brahmin, therefore all these are petty issues
and should be discarded. It is this issue of Brahmanism and
egoism
which is the cause for the plight of the brahmins and
humanity in general.
May whichever god you believe in watch over you.

Girls relatives are Brahmins: they are supposed to be brainy.
Boy Gupta is 'moneyed class': they should be willing to spend lots of cash, to capture the brainy girl!
Isn't it a Win-Win situation?
Girl's side get MONEY; Boys side get the wise folks who can teach them how to make more money!!
C'mon, in today's world these things should not matter. LOVE is what matters most!
But if you are traditional. appeal to the logic of what solution I have given above!

If the boy and girl achieved major-ship, if both are not married previously, divorced-if married, both are determined to marry and more-over they are confident to live their own, if their parents dis-own them, then no one can stop their marriage. They go straight to Police Station with proper proofs, they will do the needful. It is very silly to think about castes, religion and status now a days.

Frankly, if the girl is having younger sisters or brothers their future marriage will be hampered if she marries the Gupta boy . Is it infatuation or love ?.She has to sacrifice if she loves her family !

It is not the caste nor the status which comes in between. It is the mindset of people.
Better convince their parents, thru someone they are respecting. For instance, they may appreciate a word from their Family pujari. (just an example) So try convincing that source first and you can get it done.

It would be better to listen to her guardians. If her family does not agree, then she will have to marry him against their wish. She may have to cut off the relation. It will all add fuel to the fire. If she cannot live peacefully after the marriage, why she should involve in such marriage?

it is possible if the boy has the dominant role in his family or has the earnings.
i dint think that relatives of the girl will object strongly in that situation. you can go for love marriage after some time they will come with you.
