why does my brand new HPipaq pda not want to turn on in the morning?

The only way to fire it up is to release and return the SD Card - it's as if this is a big on/switch.

I ***-u-me you have enough battery power. Could it be somehow involved with the software in front when you leave the iPaq to bed at night? E.g., I set mine up to fall asleep on its own after 30 seconds of my inattention, and last thing at night, it often has Nevo on its face. Waking up proves no problem. My SD card carries only Adobe and Firefox. I have an extended battery that carries a full week before needing to be juiced. I've had it, though, with IE on its face (even not connected) refuse to awaken without significant effort (not always, but sometimes...)
