theirs might be louder due to some slight exhaust leaks, or they might have dual exhausts..depending on the engine size..some came with V6 engines with single exhaust, where the V8 engines came with dual exhaust..You can only make the car louder with spending money...on the exhaust system, or changing the intake system, but if you want to hear how much louder it could get,, just get someone to take the O2 sensor out, then you will see just how loud it would be if you had an exhaust leak..be thankful your have a quite ride--go to exhaust professional

Just change out the muffler in favor of either a Flowmaster or Magnaflow muffler, it's that simple. Yea, headers might add alill sound. But, you've already got a pretty good flowin manifold on the LS1. So, I just take it down to one of the local exhaust shop and have 'em swap out the muffler. Trash the stock muffler that it sounds like your still runnin, for one of the 40 or 50 series Flowmaster mufflers. No doubt that will wake up the sound of the Camaro.

Good luck!

Headers - SLP Loudmouth II catback system

That setup will give you the noise you want. Some people get tired of the noise that setup produces though. Running that, you won't be talking on your cell phone in the car anymore.

PS - The stock manifolds do NOT flow well. If anyone thinks they do, they are only fooling themselves. Headers free up a lot of air flow, and normally increase power by about 10-15 hp.

HEADERS!

Go to the websites of: Hooker, Hedman, Dougs, Kooks, etc. I'm sure one of those manufacturers makes headers for a '98 Camaro. Besides being louder, the car will perform a little better.

it will make it louder ,even though it is going to never ever sound like a v-8 will, they have a valid of there very own, even though it incredibly is made to sound quite good, get a Flo grasp exhaust gadget positioned on it,the sound genuine good,on a v-6 engine, unlike a v-8 yet close besides, good success,i'm hoping this helps.
