I am doing a school project and need to know who the audience of Abraham Lincoln's speech "The Gettysburg Address" was. I don't need to know names but I would like to know what the majority of the audience were like (e.g. where they came from, what race they were etc.)

They were local people in and around Gettysburg, PA. By the way, there is a recording of a man who was PRESENT at the Gettysburg Address. He was about 10 when he heard it, and he recorded his experience on tape during the 1930's when he was in his late 70's. If you can get a copy of the recording, that would be very cool, and he mentions the audience too.
