Hello,
Don't panic I'm going to guide you though some simple steps to remove this virus from your computer. I hope this helps.
1: OK first of all go to start>control panel> add or remove programs> msn messenger> uninstall. Please note that uninstalling MSN is the first step to removing the virus as it is using MSN to move though out your computer.
2: Go to start>control panel> add or remove programs> Look for tool bar 888 and uninstall. Note this may not be listed so don't panic just skip step 2 and continue as normal after the unchecking the virus . it is not listed.
3: Go to start>run> type in msconfig(this takes you to the part where you can disable the virus NOTE this should not be permanent I will explain later why.
4: Look though it and find the virus and then unclick it. Then go to what ever Internet browser your using and download AVG or Avast! I myself use Norton 2007 but these are free and you cannot install Norton properly if a virus is already on your computer. In your case I would recommend AVG install it but DON'T RUN A SCAN. To find it google search free AVG and you should find the link.
5: Restart your computer but when it starts keep pressing F8 it should give you chooses of Start windows in safe mode etc chose start in safe mode. Now the picture and sound may be ugly and the icons may be large this is normal for safe mode.
6: Go to start>my computer>right click >chose properties and go to the system restore tab and click turn off. Then restart make sure you are still in safe mode. After getting to the desk top.
7: Go to start>run> msnconfig> find the virus and check it you may need to retstart this is fine. After you've done that also ensure that your in safe mode. After all this and your at your desk top run a full scan with AVG it should detect whats left and get rid of it.
8: Restart but now select the start windows Normal. Once your at your desk top reinstall MSN and then download and install firefox 2. It might of been spyware that allowed the MSN virus to trigger onto you so start using firefox and then install Spybot search and destory.

I hope this helped you get rid of the virus and please keep in mind that as it was a bussiness computer you should have some kind of anti viruas software anyway hope this helped.

Symantec has had loads of problems with many many users. You can download, for free, AVG Free or Avast Anti-virus, and after installation, the virus program will run, and search for any viruses that may be on your computer.

Avast Anti-virus has a web protection that is installed with the program. AVG Free, last I used it did not have that option.
