I've always thought that a good matchmaking site would proceed as follows: Members are limited to matches within their zip code, you browse profiles anonymously, you click "Interested" also anonymously, and if a member happens upon your profile and also clicks "Interested," you are notified and a match is made! This wouldn't work, of course, if members are not limited to zip code or area code, because the likelihood of a mutual "Interest" would be very slim. As well, it's all anonymous so you can click "Interested" without fear of rejection, because they will never know you did unless they also click the button on your profile.

The only dilemma would be in making sure that a person who does click the button actually fulfills the obligation to date the person.
