Mesa Verde is a pretty nice place, but its main ppoint is trhe preservation of Anasazi ruins at Spruce Palace and other places. Probably why Roosevelt preserved it.

Mesa Verde would still be there (it is a pretty significant chunf of geography). Spruce Palace is tucked away, and would most likely still be there. Other ruins may have been lost. All would be less well preserved.
