Hi I would like to do research for my masters of economics the title 'Technology Gap in Plural societies - Malaysia as a model' it's too wide or any idea can contribute to the viable research project.

If you intend to do anything empirical, I would think that you would have trouble with getting reliable data. It is always prudent to check out data availability before committing to a project.

Check with the professors at your school. Your topic could be a good one, or it could be too broad...It depends how you approach it....

Also, check to see if you can get all the data you need, I began using Malaysia for a research paper during my masters and had a hard time getting the data I needed...but that was 20 years ago, so I don't know what the data stream is like now.

I think you need to reach a more specialized audience. Most of us don't know enough to comment intelligently on your question. I'd contact some profs on your campus, and contact some others at different Universities. There must be some international economics think tank where someone could give you some guidance. Good Luck.
