You know, I'm with you man. I'm Mexican right, and I grew up with white folks since pre-k. I did have my Mexican friends and all but I gave a little more attention to my other friends. In high school most of my friends were white and if you're from North Carolina you know its fun. I grew up in the country and lived here all my life. My mexican friends know me and respect me though. Many ignorant people might say "White people are just rednecks who hate every other skin color". I am a living testimony to prove that wrong, OK! I since then have studied Southern History and culture, and as far as I know, there wasn't any unbelievable hatred in the south. My ancestors fought for The south in the civil war in Texas and I gladly carry the confederate flag on my car and in my clothing, and when a dummy mexican, white or black person say something about it all I say is you need a history lesson. There's nothing wrong with that, I'm not trying to be white, I'm being myself and that's how I grew up "A BROWN NECK"

There was talk of how poorly Mexican / Latino children are doing in school. White people were blamed. Talk about raids at work sites by ICE. White people were blamed. Talk about not enough Hispanic school teachers. White people were blamed. Talk about imprisonment of Mexican / Latino. White people were blamed.

So they basically don't want you to associate with white
because white people are bad ...but look around guess who trying desperately come to live among us white "mexican"

I had the same problem when I was in highshool. I went to a mostly black and Latino high school. I hated hip-hop, did not dress "gangsta", spoke in full sentences, and had white friends (the school was about 15% white, btw); I was accused of acting white.

See you are being judged by people that are stuck in their own nationalistic self image. These people that you seem to care what they think are always going to be at the head of the welfare line.

I think the best thing to remember here is tolerance. Be tolerant of people that incorrectly judge you and hopefully it will rub off on them.
