What do you think of China, in terms of everything(history, food, wealth, military, economy, people, politics, culture etc.)?

With its millenia of history, culture, and the ambition of the current government, China will not be fully understood by most people, and not even the people living in China. For China to truly move forward, and for the current generation of chinese to take its proper place in world history, China must find its identify via its own heritage and the lessons it could learn from the rest of the world.

China has not been able to fully take advantages of the lessosn it could learn since the 19th century. Until China can integrate with the rest of the world in its own way, China will continue to be a mystery to the world and its own people.

A number of people think China is not afraid
of America, and China is unconcerned about
our international policies. The country has
a military.
China supports an international whaling ban,
as opposed to Japan who are opposed to a
ban on whaling.

If you are unwilling to buy or believe everything
in the CIA Factbook, I don't think they would
misinform on natural resources. China's
includes coal, iron ore, petroleum,
natural gas, mercury, tin, tungsten,
antimony, manganese, molybdenum.

For a good report, you need to discuss
Manchuria and The Forbidden City.

And don't put the word "imperialism" in
your report, the teacher might want
a newer more modern term
that doesn't mean the same thing.

Good Luck. Ciao.

In terms of everything? My oh my!! Space and time do not permit discussion of everything related to China.

China has a quarter of the world's population and that fact alone makes them unique among nations. They also have the longest border in the world.......the Sino Soviet border.

China's growing presence reminds me of Japan and to some extent Germany in the 1920s and 1930s. Having said that I do not view China as a threat to the US. But I do view them as a tremendous threat to Russia.......that long border is disputed. And that is why the USA should be very reluctant to admit Russia as a member of NATO because NATO membership could easily draw us into a Sino-Soviet war.

If the Chinese sleeping giant ever gets riled it will indeed deal a lot of misery to someone.

Let me see.....I think that China is an extremely disciplined place....I think it's incredibly crowded....I think that it's sinful that sex is OK to be bought and sold.....I don't like the food AT ALL...OK, perhaps the plain white rice....their military is vast to say the least....I don't like the fact that it's kind of a neanderthal like place, meaning the mentality of men towards their woman....their customs are ok I s'pose...don't know too much on that....last but not least.....It has beautiful colors and architecture.....The one thing that i admire about the people in China(the good one's that is) Honor and Family are everything!! THIS IS WHAT WE NEED HERE!

i'm Chinese, in my eyes, China is a great country. used to have great culture(now doubt so), used to have grace and courtesy in the society, used to have the most beautiful and artistic language and words, used to produce best writers and playwrights, used to be proud.
today, i'd say, she is still big, growing fast, hope she will be rich and more harmonious.
Another thing about the ruling party, communist party is just being twisted and distorted by the western media, I love the classical communist idea, pls don't be harsh to a new and growing ideology(anyway China is not exactly in communist stage), I hope people will try to be more friendly and less critical to my country.

You're not looking for an answer, you're looking for a report on China! I don't have time for that, so, here's the report in a nutshell: I think that China is big.
