I love the dress. Wear what makes you feel good. If the wedding is a formal one is there any way you might be able to exchange it for the -`'Tadashi ' long dress on that page? It is formal, elegant and I think that if you go to the wedding having any doubts, which obviously you must, (otherwise you would not have posted the question) you may feel uncomfortable all evening.
Is it an evening wedding? The long dress is for evening. I would buy that one instead if you like it.

Thank you for not wearing one of those UGLY dresses. It does not look "cheap"; however, it would be appropriate to wear a shawl if you will be walking down the aisle, especially in a church and don't wear heels that are too sexy, put those on at the reception when you dump the shawl. Congratulations and have fun.

No, its not that bad at all. It really just depends on the tone and style of your Wedding and what you see the day as being. If you want it to be a formal affair then the dress is too casual, but if casual and relaxed is what your looking for then its perfect.

What is great for one occasion is not always great for another occasion. I wouldn't say it looked cheap, it just looks like a 'little black' party dress and not a dress you wear when you are an important member of a wedding.

I think its beautiful but it depends on the wedding like how casual it is, location etc. If you feel uncomfortable at all I would say your shawl idea is excellent they always look classy and can be stylish. Also if you feel comfortable you will look so much better. :-D Have fun

why are you choosing to wear a black dress to a wedding? I think its cute dress, you can tone it down by wearing a sash around the neck to take away from the deep v in the front.

I wouldn't wear it to a wedding. It is a lovely dress but better suited to a night on the town.

It's a beautiful dress but perhaps better suited to a cocktail party than a wedding, especially if you are part of the wedding party.

for $200 it's not trashy at all. many women wear black to weddings & if its' in spring or summer many wear dresses that show some skin.
maybe the ruffles on bottom make it look more casual than wedding-y though
