I like happy, uplifting music for workouts - it takes the focus away from the lactic acid, whereas aggressive music just focusses me on my pain.

I like: "Think" by Aretha Franklin
"sinnerman" by Nina Simon (Also "house called Rising sun", the speeded up version
"Paint it Black" by Rolling stones

and the whole Rocky Album!

When these sorts of songs are on, I forget what I'm doing, look down and find I've just been running without even thinking!

depends on what gets you going. i like hard house, techno, d&b, and heavy metal. if you can listen to it and NOT wanna move, then don't bring it to the gym. and it should have either a good beat or rythem that you can follow. check out myspace.com/loskeinelust that's my profile. listen to the playlist. if it you feel like moving while sitting there, then you have your playlist.

i listen to hardcore music when i work out, it gets me pumped. albums i suggest are "Define The Great Line" by Underoath, "The Lost, The Sick, The Sacred" by Inhale/Exhale, and "Redeemer" by Norma Jean. theres lots more than that, but if you try those and like it you can look up more

[obligatory reference to "Physical" by Olivia Newton-John]

Whatever gets you moving. I think New Wave does it for me, it's forward without being high-impact.
