why do they call it strawberry is there is no straw???

GleN, I do not know why it is called a "set", but your question make me laugh. Maybe they called the TV a "set" since it doesn't "stand".

Because when it was first marketed to the public 50 years ago, the "set" included the speakers and antenna that came with it.
