Akon....not really sure

Tim McGraw......well I don't know why a non-beliver would sing songs with the word God in them.....here are some of the lyrics from one of his first actuall hits....don't take the girl.

Same old boy
Same sweet girl
Five years down the road
Theres going to be a little one and she says its time to go
Doctor says the babys fine but youll have to leave
cause his mommas fading fast and johnny hit his knees and there he prayed
Take the very breath you gave me
Take the heart from my chest
Ill gladly take her place if youll let me
Make this my last request
Take me out of this world
God, please dont take the girl

Toby Keith......Agian lyrics from one of his songs "Only God could make me stop loving you"

Only God could stop me loving you
Only God could tell me not to
He sent you from Heaven
Just to make my dreams come true
When he opened the door
That you came walking through
Only God could stop me loving you

Brad Paisley.....The old rugged cross is on one of his albums...that right there should tell you!

Keith Urban....lyrics from his song "But for the grace of God"

But for the grace of God
I must've been born a lucky guy
Heaven only knows how I've been blessed
With the gift of [YOUR] love
And I look around and all I see
Is your happiness embracing me
Oh Lord I'd be lost
But for the grace of God

Rascal Flatts......lyrics from "bless the broken road"

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Brooks & Dunn......lyrics from "Red Dirt Road"

It's where I drank my first beer
It's where I found Jesus
Where I wrecked my first car
I tore it all to pieces
I learned the path to heaven is full of sinners and believers
Learned that happiness on earth ain't just for high achievers
I've learned I've come to know
There's life at both ends
Of that red dirt road

Dierks Bentley......lyrics from "the heaven I'm headed to" off his long trip alone album.

Heave I'm headed to
There's a place for preachers, thieves and prostitutes
Saints and soldiers, beggars, kings and renegades
For any soul that ever found amazing grace
Ain't no tellin' who on earth He might include
In the heaven I'm headed to

It's not my place to say
Just who does or doesn't get to go
I'm only one among the many
Stumblin' down that narrow road
There's so many things in this life to love
And I believe there's hope for each of us 'cause

George Strait.......lyrics from the song..."love without end, amen"

Last night I dreamed I died and stood outside those pearly gates.
When suddenly I realized there must be some mistake.
If they know half the things I've done, they'll never let me in.
And then somewhere from the other side I heard these words again

And he said, "Let me tell you a secret about a father's love,
A secret that my daddy said was just between us."
He said, "Daddies don't just love their children every now and then.
It's a love without end, amen, it's a love without end, amen."

Alan Jackson.....lyrics from "where were you when the world stoped turning"

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

Montgomery Gentry.......lyrics from "some people change"

Here's to the strong; thanks to the brave.
Don't give up hope... some people change.
Against all odds, against the grain,
Love finds a way... some people change.

Thank God for those who make it...
Let them be the Light.

Garth Brooks......lyrics from "unansered prayers"

Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers
Remember when you're talkin' to the man upstairs
That just because he doesn't answer doesn't mean he don't care
Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers

Lonestar......lyrics from "my front porch looking in"

i travel here and everywhere
followin my job
iv seen the paintings from the air
brushed by the hand of god
the mountains and the canyons reach from sea to shining sea
but i cant wait to get bak home to the woman he made for me

cuz anywhere ill ever go and everywhere iv been
nuthin takes my breath away like my front porch lookin in

Joe Nichols.....lyrics from "I'll wait for you"

And it said, I'll wait for you at Heaven's gate
Oh, I don't care how long it takes
And I'll tell Saint Pete I can't come in
Without my love and my best friend
Oh, this ain't nothin' new
Sweetheart, I'll wait for you
P.S. I love you, too
Sweetheart, I'll wait for you

Blake Shelton.......lyrics from "When somebody knows you that well"

I could probably do more to help my fellow man,
But life gets busy and I hope God understands
Someday when I get time, I’ll do more than my share,
Funny how I’m thinkin’ it sittin’ in my easy chair,
You play it cool but its no use,
God aint no fool and that’s the truth,
And he won’t let you fool yourself,
You can’t hide one single thought,
If you try you’ll just get caught
When somebody knows you that well.

Trace Adkins.....lyrics from "I'd sure hate to break down here"

I'd sure hate to break down here
Nothin' up ahead or in the rearview mirror
Out in the middle of nowhere knowin'
I'm in trouble if these wheels stop rollin'
So God help me keep me movin' somewhere
Dont let me start wishin' I was with her now

Chris Cagle.....lyrics from "Country by the grace of God"

It's the life I love
And I'm gonna live it 'til they bury me
I can't get enough of dirt roads and dusty fields and the simple things
And I take pride in everything I've got
'Cause I'm American-born and country by the grace of God

Craig Morgan.....lyrics from "That's what I love about Sunday"

Ooh, new believers gettin' baptized,
Momma's hands raised up high,
Havin' a Hallelujah good time
A smile on everybody's face.
That's what I love about Sunday,
Oh, yeah.

And last but not least.....Gary Allan....lyrics from "Forgotten, but not gone"

Well he's taken her forgranted
God only know's why she keeps hanging on
Because it's better to be gone, but not forgotten
then to be forgotten but not gone.

I really hope that this helped you find the answers you were looking for. To be honest I don't think you will find many country artists that aren't Christians. That's why I love my country! God Bless!
