I peeked at last year's state standard's test and it turns out my teacher has taught me nothing on the text, and my class doesn't know anything either. He's also on vacation so i can't grab a hold of him, what can i do, testing starts really soon!

Which state are you from? I know here in California, anyone can go to the State Department of Education website and get practice test questions which were on previous years tests. It is not cheating and many schools use it to prepare their students for the types of questions on the test. The number of questions on the practice test are close to if not more than the actual number of questions which will be on this year's test.

Don't freak out about it. Chances are he did teach you the things that will be on the test, the types of questions, but NOT the exact questions which will appear on the test. "Teaching the test" is illegal. Giving questions which are like those that you will see on the test, are not. If your state does have something similar to what we have here in California, then just print out the practice test questions for the subject areas you will be tested on and have someone go over them with you. I know for the CST tests the answers are given at the end of the packet so you can check to see if you got the correct answer. They are in PDF format and are about 35-50 pgs long. That includes a lot of extra stuff for teachers to know about, the standards, etc....

Most likely you are overreacting. Breathe, don't cheat by looking at last year's test (how did you get that?), and do your best. You teacher most likely has taught you many of the skills on the test - keep in mind, it isn't just this years teacher that has been prepping you for this years test - its all the teachers up through the grade you are in.

Just do your best.

It doesn't matter! The standardized test won't look bad on you if you do bad, it will only look bad on the teacher. If everyone does bad then the teacher will be to blame because it's his responsibility to teach you not yours to teach yourself.

do something to pass it even though your teacher teaches you nothing.
