All mammals have them to wash out their eyes.
I believe birds have special oils to clean their eyes with.
Crocodiles definitely have tearducts.

No. Many animals have tear ducts because tears lubricate their eyes.

no. not at all. I have horses and dogs and cats and had 60 Guinea pigs when I was little *4-H* they're eyes water and get all goopy. Can't do that without tear ducts.

I don't believe so. My cat got too close to where I was cutting onion and his eyes watered. hehe
