You have hit the heart of Roe v. Wade. What's the difference between a fetus and a 'baby'?

'Fetus' is the medical term for the growing human within the mother's womb. After it is born it is referred to as a 'neonate'. After that the term 'infant' is used.
There are also terms used at different points during the pregnancy, such as: Period of the Ovum (conception-day 8), Period of the Embryo (Day 8- 8th week), and Period of the Fetus (8th week- parturition/birth). These terms do not refer to a different being, just a different stage in development (just like there are terms to identify the difference between infant to child, from child to adolescent, to adult etc.).
From conception there is a human being alive, just not fully developed. Prepubescent boys and girls are no less human than any man or woman, despite the fact that their bodies are not fully developed.
It's hard for people to believe what they cannot see. No one can condone the incredible suffering of a 'child'... somehow it's ok though, when that child has a embryonic brother, so get rid of it.

You're right, it is a double standard. Neither one is good. Both represent the destruction of the helpless and the innocent.
Every mother suffers from the loss of an offspring... born or unborn.

The major argument with abortion is when life begins. Even the different christian sects don't agree at when life actually begins.
Once a person has been born there is no doubt it's a life.
IF one killed a women who was pregnant some would have said they killed two people while others would have said they killed one person.
But once a person is born and both the mother and child are killed then there is no doubt in anybodies mind that two people were killed.

A fetus can no longer live to inform the tale w/o the mummy. Even Sarah Palin believes if that fetus endangers a mom's existence, it truly is "ok" to abort. Others trust it truly is "ok" no matter if that's the outcome of incest or rape. If those causes are proper via maximum to be "ok" causes for abortion, we could enable the others. even as women human beings get fertility remedies and it leads to 5,6,7,or 8 fetuses even docs recommend "selective help".... No lady needs an abortion, they're carried out out of concern. Is it extra effectual to bare a baby to enable it starve to lack of life? Like tens of millions international huge do? Or to have a baby die via being a human take care of? Like many do? If abortion replaced into made unlawful, it received't end abortions. women human beings will stick coat hangers interior them or produce different risky abortions, and the rich will bypass to different international places to have it carried out. lets no longer concentration on the abortion, lets concentration on sex practise and making birth control varieties extra handy. concentration on preventing extra undesirable pregnancies.

A basic biology class would help you understand. Having an abortion does not kill a baby. Zygotes and fetuses are NOT babies. Big, big difference. Calling them babies confuses the issue, as they are not babies at all. If you are anti-choice, you probably get a kick out of referring to them as babies because it sounds so much worse, but the only people you are convincing are those who think just like you already. I'm not a fan of abortion and I think it should stay legal, but have greater restrictions placed on it. But this sort of deliberate referral to babies instead of using the correct language is underhanded and does not help your cause.

Yes, I was looking at the news today...about Mexico City legislature making legal abortions.....the left leaning party in Mexico was the main supporter which i think made a BIG mistake because Mexico being majority Catholics or Christians are going to think that the party does not have values....It justs sucks that another big city like Mexico City is legalizing abortions.....

Totally, but most people hold to a post modernist worldview which holds that whatever a person wants to believe has equal validity. However, when you take that to it's logical end result - murder could be okay, so could incest, terrorism and any other # of atrocities. So a post modern worldview is going to have a ton of double standards and hypocritical statements. But, most people it seems are okay with this.
