Is my tv going to catch on fire?

Got a RCA TV model number FT7442 today from a friend.
I plugged it in an I can see that the tube in the back glows red like coils heated up. Is this safe, a normal feature of a direct view, or cathode ray tube television

Inside the tube are 3 cathodes. They are supposed to glow, so you have nothing to worry about.
