I found a mixed cd that i was made for me a few yrs ago and on it is two songs that i like they are by the same artist but i dont know their name or title of either songs. One of the songs has a chorus that goes" life goes on without you, im gonna get along and be strong to my own self i will be true" the other song has the chorus "your hearts stone cold and you cant feel nothing, i wish what i got was enough to be lovin', your hearts stone cold and its making me sadder just to think that true love really didnt even matter...your hearts stone cold and nothings gonna change" or something like that, i know its kinda vague but i'd appreciate you help, any music buffs out there who would have any idea what im talking about?

The Deuce Project
Stone Cold

The Deuce Project

Stone Cold, from the rhythmically infectious carnality on "Dead Wrong" to the thoughtful reflections on everlasting love on "Lose My Way," balances complex sentiments on the fulcrum of Josh's expressive singing and Noah's authoritative acoustic guitar work. That complexity, drawn from the contradictions addressed in the lyrics, and from creative tensions inherent in the music, is the essence of The Deuce Project, which in the end is about the lives as much as the talents, of two young artists.

Stone Cold
(Michel van Dyke)

Nervously you hit your cigarette
Hey beautiful, why did you start again?
You interrupt me with, "How are you doing?"
Well I love my life, and the music that I'm grooving
You pause and slowly hang your head
I don't think I can take this again
Flat out he wasn't shiny new
What's a young boy gotta do for you?

You look really good my baby
I'm not gonna lie
We'll take one minute and shed your skin
It will be the best thing in your life

Chorus:
Your heart's stone cold, and you can't feel nothin'
I wish what I got was enough to be lovin'
Your heart's stone cold, won't let nobody in there
Not much change, yeah, this song's too familiar
Your heart's stone cold, and it's making me sadder
Just to think true love really didn't even matter
Your heart's stone cold, and nothing's gonna change

Your eyes look empty
And lost in the sadness
Faking a smile, and it's worse than the madness
I don't need you, I'm a little bit stronger
You say, "It's been a while"
It's gonna be a while longer
I've never seen you like this before
You, asking me for more
There's no going back to yesterday
But who would want to anyway?

You look really good my baby
I'm not gonna lie
We'll take one minute and shed your skin
It will be the best thing in your life

Chorus (Repeat)

Life Goes On
(C. Berman/F. Berman/D. Pattillo/J. Plewka/C. Neander/J. McMillan)

Even though you left me
Let me give you some advice
You can burn me once
But you can't burn me twice
There's lover's pride, and lover's shame
But the love we lost, I overcame
It came to this, it came to that
You got me high and left me flat
And now you wanna be friends
Where your friendship begins, my love ends

Chorus:
Life goes on without you
I'm gonna get along, and be strong
To my own self I will be true
And it's all I can do
I'm gonna get in line, and give it time
'Cause life goes on without you
Sweet baby, life goes on without you

And it's a long way back to revisit the tears
You were always victimized by selfish fears
So I put your pictures into a box
I moved the furniture and changed the locks
And now you're calling to say "hi"
I got no idea why
And you're troubled right now
'Cause I'm moving on strong
And I'll get there somehow

Chorus

Stepping outside
Stepping out of this mess within
'Cause life goes on without you
You know I try and try
Where this love ends my life begins

Chorus

I'll be movin' on as I sing this song
Life goes on even as I sing this song
