Call the local police department which is currently holding your firearms. They can explain the process required for Oklahoma residences.
Since I work in California, I can only give you an example of what's required here.
If your charges were dropped and the case is closed. The property department for the PD should recieve notice from the DA's office that the case is closed. Along with that, they will usually provide disposition info for all related property (telling the dept how and to whom they should release property).
In CA, you have to fill out forms for any person 18 and older living in the same household as you. Those are turned into the PD and a background check is done on those individuals. If any of them have Felony convictions the firearms will not be returned to you. Once the background check is done on family members, the owner of the firearms is directed to contact DOJ (Dept of Justice) to have a background check done on themselves. (The local PD is only allowed to do checks on the family members not the registered owner). If the DOJ completes the check and you are clear, they will send you a letter with a gold seal on it showing the background check is completed and that you are legally able to own/possess firearms.
Turn that letter in to the property department and the Administrator will review you case and determine how/when to release your firearms. Even if all other checks come back clear, bear in mind that the Administrator could classify your firearm as a nuisance under CA Penal Code section 12028 and decide not to return the firearm to you. In which case you would need a court order from ann active sitting judge to get the gun back.
If the administrator oks the release, then the property department should send you a letter and let you know that your property is ready for release. When you show up in CA you must have a valid state issued ID and a lock box, if your picking up handguns, in order to take your guns home.

Those guns are still yours and if you have proof that you own them (like sales receipts) then you should be able to get them back.
I would suggest that you contact the clerk for the judge that sat on your case and ask them to see that your property is returned.
The only way that the government can keep your guns is if there is something illegal about them. If those guns were used in a crime and are being kept as evidence then you are out of luck. If you had illegal possession of those guns, if they were illegally modified or some other crime was connected to those guns then you could not get them back. Otherwise they are your property and they should be returned to you.

If the charges were dropped then it's like nothing ever happened, right? Then I'd say the guns are yours. I'd think anyway. Sorry, I don't really 'know' and that's what you wanted, was someone to "know!"
