All the time on here, it's "black people this", "black people that". It's really not fair for someone to see/hear something bad about one black person, and just assume we are all like that. That's a very small-minded way to form an "opinion" about someone.

I didn't say everyone. Just the ones who post questions about black people.

It's very annoying isn't it. I guess the same reason people think that all white people are racist. In my opinion there are good and bad people in all races. You shouldn't judge someone based on their skin color, gender, or whatever else for that matter.

I do really wish that black people would stop being talked about like where all the same person its not cool. As for what Bill Cosby said that was his own personal opinion that don't make it true it does however make you a ignorant retard for believing that what he said apples to the whole African American race. I think that people need to do some reading or maybe go visit your local Urban League it's ran by African Americans...... AND DON'T BELIVE THE HYPE FIND OUT FOR YOUSELF OUR GENERATION IS GETTING TO OLD FOR IGNORANCE.

Ignorance. Also, alot of blacks play into the stereotypes that media portrays of us. An example would be the rappers and the video girls. So, in a sense it is partially our fault. There are black people that glorify stereotypes and are proud of it. If we are going to stop people from stereotyping us its going to have to start with us. We cant give them a million plus examples of ghetto. It doesnt make it right but what can we do except change.

Yes you are very right. Some black people do do the wrong thing, but then so do white people or people of any race. I try very hard to judge people on their actions and not put them in a box due to their race and I would hope that people judge me the same.

Well in all reality most people have some kind of discrimnation towards another not even dealing with race.... everybody dislikes or has hatred ways towards others so just don't pay attention and try to be positive because us as people(americans) have had some kind of problem with another person or race

If you review some of these questions on this board, it's not racists it's what 1/2 the questions are in 'Society & Culture'
In a way the ones asking the questions are either curious & lacking some manners or being racist & ignorant on purpose.

I find that Americans are truly bad for disliking black people.. i am canadian and here it is natives that seem to get picked on.. but we are mostly a multicultural society and everyone gets along fine.... ... judging people by the color of their skin is totally unfair and wrong.... i have a friend who is half black and half white and she has only lived in canada for 6 months(she is twenty) and lived the rest of the time in Texas.. she says shes had more friends in the six months in canada than she has her whole life in the US you people should be ashamed of yourselves... it is noones fault being born the color they are.. and therefore they dont deserve to be hated or mis treated or judged because of it.......

That's simple, simple minded people talk like that. But not everyone is simple minded and do not talk like that. Also, that works both ways, I've heard the white people talked about the same way.

Why do people talk about other people as if they always talk about black people as if they were all the same??

Now you're saying that everyone who posts questions about black people generalizes in a negative way. You know that CAN'T be true. You have to be pretty careful how you phrase things like this. There are a lot of people who go out of their way to be fair and open minded, who really live the dream. You should remember to give them credit, and not imply that they don't exist while you're being critical of the group of people who make generalizations.

You should especially avoid making generalizations of your own while you are pointing out the generalizations that others make. Narrow minded people like myself will opportunistically seize upon the opening to misdirect the argument.

Your heart is in the right place, but you can only make progress towards your goal if you choose your words, carefully. It might be good to note that arguments that cite the deeds of specific individuals tend to carry a lot more persuasive weight then generalizations that quote no specific examples.

I think it's a compliment if you really sit back and analyze it. I mean, we are the most popular group of people on the face of the earth, so I feel honored that other groups feel that we are worthy of all the talk.
