My tiller's belt finally broke last week. It's the belt that fits on the double pulley. What all do I need to remove to replace this belt? It almost seems like the handles need to come off (?)

Thank you.

you Will need to take it to a place that works on Troy Bilt tillers and have them put the belt on. Unless you can find the book that came with it. If the tiller is still under warranty , it is better to get a reputable mechanic that works on TROY Bilt tillers because if you try it will kill the warranty. I know I have a Troy Bilt Junior and I don't l like or let just anybody to work on my tiller. And I am the only one that uses my tiller. The handles will need to come off.

I have no serial # or model! What I do know it looks like a (horse tiller) with a Tecumseh engine with a metal rectangle fuel tank that sits on but forward of the engine. The tiller has cast iron 5 spoke 7 inch wheels. This tiller seems to be very old!!! Hope you can Help...Also, The Cast Iron casing says (TH-1002) with (Garden Way)above it..

With the control lever in the forward position, slide the new belt between the pulleys and over one of them. Take care not to pinch the belt or your fingers move the control lever to neutral, this should allow you to put the belt over the other pulley.
