Flagstaff is in avery cool area of the state. The area surronding it is just beautiful. If you can be sure to go up to the Grand Caynon. While it is not in Flagstaff still worth the trip. You can take a train ride, there are a couple different tours that leave from Flagstaff. Heritage Square usually has some free music going on durring the summer, cheap and fun. Okay if you like (or even if you don't) the Museum Club is pretty cool. Historic building on Route 66. Great place had a good time there. If you can Sunset Crater is outside of Flagstaff it is pretty cool. Nice day trip good hiking. Downtown the Beaver Street Brewery is pretty cool to eat at. Nice selection of brew. Good service. Another fun place to eat at is the Galaxy Diner, again on Route 66. Good Old fashion diner had a good time. Food was cheap and great, service was wonderful and there were some great old cars that came by. They were very cool! North of Flagstaff is the Skyride. Very neat! Takes you up into the mountains. Good views, wonderful pictures. Not for the weak of heart. As for clubs and things like that I had no problem finding them. Downtown has a ton of bars, clubs and resturants. Ask the people at your hotel, or your server, they know the area, and all the new places. Here are a few websites that will help you out:

www.go-arizona.com
www.flagguide.com
I know you will have a great trip, good luck!

Ya, flagstaff is a very cool place to visit. I went to Northern Arizona Univ. located right in Flagstaff. The is a pretty good night life if you want to head out after sundown and grab a few brews. Stop by Melloney's, or Collins Irish Pub, both are very cool places in downtown and get pretty busy so get in early. Also for last call, check out the Mad Italian...the place has a second story roof top patio you can eat/drink on and catch a good view of the mountains surrounding Flag. And you gotta eat at the Black Bean also in downtown...great healthy wraps. Depending on when you go up to Flag, you can head up to Snow Bowl..ski in the winter and chill in the summer. Has great views and good food at the lodge. There are also a ton of "outdoors" stuff you can do...hike, bike, camp. Lake Mary is great for fishing and is right almost in town. It's a fun place to hang out...better in the summer tho. And Sedona/Oak Creek is about a 45 minute drive away. Stop by Grasshopper Point in Oak Creek...awesome cliffs to jump off...and safe. The town just has that old collge town feel...way cool. Have fun man.

Probably not as rude as some of the others, but it really upset the bride and I would be very offended if someone does this at my wedding. The ceremony was close family only, so most of the guests were just invited to the reception. The wedding was organised at very short notice, so not exactly what the couple wanted, but they did a brilliant job. Anyway, a guy that we work with turned up part way through the reception in a t-shirt and ripped jeans. He looked like he'd just rolled out of bed. He helped himself to some food and a couple of free drinks and then left. The bride was really upset and offended by it, which is why it bothers me so much.

Are you kidding?! Flagstaff IS a "cool" place to go- all by itself! Just walk around, check the place out, and figure out what you want to do first... :)

Try downtown, around Route 66 and the crossing streets of Beaver, Aspen, and San Francisco. There are lots of great restaurants, shops, and art galleries in and around those crossing streets, and south of the train tracks towards NAU there are dozens of college bars. My favorite is the Beaver Street Brewery, at 11 S. Beaver Street, and right across the street is one of the best coffee shops in Flagstaff, Macy's.

Lowell Observatory has one of the best telescopes in North America. It's where Pluto was discovered and really worth a visit. You can see close-up views of Mars and the rings of Saturn. it's open to the public.
