Hello: The Answer is: SIN! That's sin in an undoubted sense, one committed heartlessly and then is casually washed down with semantical bluster to smooth the guilty conscious! The reason it is sin is because it is MURDER... the killing of innocent ones without a voice for whom God created and endowed with CERTAIN INALIENABLE RIGHTS (as are we who've been allowed to be born and thus enter this world). It is not only the killing of innocent life, but it is the killing of POTENTIAL which is bound inextricably to the babes' spirit and soul. Children are an heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is HIS reward... the Bible says! Each and every child has their own particular makeup, DNA, personality, and set of unique qualities... so much so that there are NO two alike... not even twins. God will judge those who do this. My plea is that you and any other reader would value life and not kill. Don't use murder to cover up the sin of conceiving life out of wedlock or to keep you unfettered from the life you brought into being. That's where I stand... life begins at conception.

here is a example and when you read it will you still think abortion is a sin?? you guys said it was no matter what right? well here goes.. maybe once you read this you will not be so judgemental..... imagine this for a minute... you are a 14 year old girl, who loves to go out , have fun, party and do the stuff 14 year old girls do.. so one night you lie to you parents and say you are going out with friends.. which is partly true, but what you neglect to tell them is you are going to a party where there is booze and drugs.. you have a few drinks.. and before you know it you are hammered.. and believe it or not someone has slipped the date rape drug in your drink..... someone you totally trust.... your boyfriend.. so he takes you upstairs and takes advantage of you.... and 4 weeks later you find out you are pregnant... but you could have a fetal alcohol syndrome baby because you have drank more since then and what about school, what are your parents going to say when they find out??? are you prepared to pay for this child for the next 18-20 years of your life on a grade 8 or nine eduacation, and you cant do the adoption thing as your parents will kill you and totally not understand .because not only did you get pregnant you were drinking and you lied to them about where you were going when this child was conceived.. so you make a decision to have an abortion.... ... knowing this is wrong and you will be judged a sinner for the rest of your life if anyone finds out.. but no one totall yunderstands your situation or your life as they are not you ..
so before you judge if someone is a sinner or not please look at the WHOLE situation .abortion is not necesarily a sin ... depending on the situation.... thank you...

A Sin, the Sin of Murder. The life taken is an Innocent, who has never had the chance to do harm, of evil. Murdering such a life is cold blooded, and will be judged by God.
Be Blessed in Christ Jesus !
God Loves you, He really does !

We do what we can best live with. I think the bigger sin is conceiving an unwanted child to begin with. Why do people who don't want children have unprotected sex in this day and age?
And those of you who protest abortion, would you be willing to contribute to the cost of the birth and upbringing of a child whose parents are faced with an unwanted pregnancy? It's easy to say it's wrong, but what if your 16 y/o daughter came home tonight and sat down at the dinner table and announced that she was pregnant? Would it still be wrong?
I don't think other people have a right to say what is a sin unless they are personally involved. And men should never have a say in the matter of abortion.
Often, people who oppose abortion are the same people who complain about mothers on welfare.
No one makes this decision lightly. It is sad to me that young women don't avail themselves of birth control. All in all, there are too many people on this planet already. The money and energy that is expended by pro-lifers to discourage abortions would be better spent on educating young people on birth control.

A person who kills a pregnant woman can, in most states, be charged with two counts of murder. The pre-meditated killing of a fetus is either murder, or it's not. I don't see how the courts can view it two different ways. A fetus is not the mother's property to do with as she sees fit; she can't sell it into slavery or kill it after it's born. It's another human being who has thoughts, dreams, and feelings long before it's born. Abortion is murder, and murder is indeed a sin.

If you can determine when life begins then you have your answer. Some folks feel a fetus isn't "alive" until what is referred to as it's "quickening", when it begins to move about. Others feel life begins at the moment of conception.
Either way I do know for certain it's a sin to kill doctors and nurses in the name of God. But those who murder for their god tend to be a little unreasonable to start with. And they live all over the world it seems.

It is a personal choice...
that being said.... If it is used in place of birth control then yeah it is a sin. BUT if girl gets pregnant by rape or incest then no it is not a sin. Rape & incest sex are a sin.
I am pro-choice.
an innocent baby is a Gift from God. But a woman impregnated by a rapest or thru incest ... well in that case it's not a gift. If woman carries baby to term and gives it up for adoption...child comes looking for mom and has many questions... how the hell do you tell a child that he was a product of rape? Please answer that question...

Not a sin, but a sad fact of life. I wouldn't want anyone (especially government) to tell me I had to carry a baby to full term if I was terminally ill or raped. Or to tell my daughter that either. That doesn't mean I believe abortion should be used as birth control. There are plenty of ways to avoid a pregnancy.
