from age say 27 to 31 has anyone noticed their life change significantly. eg change of career, country, direction. i have lived with various people from overseas and six of them came to this country at age 27/28. i get the feeling this is the time you really begin to feel proper, grown-up direction... As a side note has anyone gone through this period of greater growth and basically screwed it up so afterwards to feel you have missed/ignored a great opportunity and life is now more ,, negative?

I think everyone evolves at different ages. I'm 25 and have made some very significant changes in my life this past year, that have made me finally feel like an adult. I definitely think your late 20's is an important period, though, because you really start buckling down and start figuring out and stabalizing your life. But I think its just a coincidence that you know 6 people from overseas at 27/28.

It really depends on who you're asking. I, in all truth am probably too young to be answering this question as I am only 15 as a freshman in high school. However, I did notice my life change dramatically from 11 to 12 and again this year as my life at school basically made an about face (for the better.) Of course I have screwed up LOTS of times since I'm still young but I learned to just move on. Leave the mistakes you made in the past, IN the past and learn from them. Look toward the future in a positive light. That's all I have to say about that.

I had a major injury to my back when I was 28 and it took 3 years to find a Doctor who could help me. During those 3 years I was bed ridden and it was the worst 3 years of my life. Now I am in good shape but I never want to repeat those years. IT was awful.

At the age of 27, I left my marriage and my three small daughters went with me because of an abusive husband. I had complete custody of them.
I have never felt I messed my life up or theirs. He messed his life up by being abusive not only to me but to our daughters also.
I married again. This time for the better. My husband never had hit or abused me. He raised my three daughters and we had two of our own. He has never treated my girls any different than his own. He has been our greatest hero.
So, yes I changed at 27 and I have noticed quiet a few others that at that age, they have had big life changes, also. I don't know what that age has to do with it, but it does seem to occur.

i think the older you get the more you know what you really want in life and you realise that if you dont go for it now then you never will. you stop worring so much what people think of you and doing things to please others.
