They're out to get you, Sid! Come to think of it, they're out to get me, too. And everyone else who writes an answer. We ALL have those tags, so we can decide at the last minute to change or delete. I've often found a typing error at the last minute, or decided not to answer at all, and I'm grateful for those tags!

You're paranoid!
Those two words are on EVERY answer...when you are the one doing the answering.
YOU can "edit" or "delete" your own answers. No one else sees, nor can they use, the edit or delete commands.

We all have them. It's our option to edit or delete our own questions or answers, but you can't see anyone else's because only they can see theirs, just like you are the only one that can see yours. It doesn't mean you have done anything wrong, just that you are the only one that can modify your own input in here.

It is because you are logged in. You are able to delete or edit any answer that you posted. You can't do that to anyone else's.
