You should tell your doctor since you still have a month to go. It sounds like the mucus plug, and even if it is, it could take another 10 days for labor to start. Especially if this is your first delivery. Good luck, and have fun with your new baby!!! I have 4 kids and I love being a Mom (most of the time...lol)

Yeah that would be your plug. With my second child I lost mine a good 5 weeks before I had her. I called my doc to ask him what it was (since I didn't remember loosing it with my first child, he came pretty early) and to make sure I didn't need to know or do anything special. He told me that I was not to take any baths, just showers from then on. But that it wasn't always an indication of labor. Good Luck!! Have fun with your new bundle of joy!

You for sure lost your plug. It does mean that your moving closer to delivering but not that it could be any day. My last pregnancy I lost mine like a month before I had my daughter, so you never can tell. Just keep an eye out for the "bloody show", alot of spotting that is another signal that the time is comming.

This is from the doctor examining your cervix. You may also get a mucuosy or bloody dicharge after intercourse. The mucus plug is usually pretty impresssive [ with my last baby I think I passed about seven of them but still had to be induced.]
'Large' and 'pretty big' are very subjective - size of a raisin, grape, plum, orange...?

defiantely sounds like you lost your mucus plug. you should call your doctor. and monitor any pain or discomfort you may start feeling. for me i lost mine and no contractions for a day after. but what i did notice that when i urinated i couldnt feel myself go. i was dilating. monitor anything thata does not sound right. and write stuff down. like your discomforts and severity it really helps. once your at the hospital having a written "report" of things as they occured will save you and the doctor both alot of time. and makes things a hell of alot easier for the doc

It sounds to me that you will most likely be meeting your new bub very soon, when i was pregnant with my daughter i had the same (SHOW) as they call it and my waters broke about 3 hours later, if u want to get things going a bit faster try nipple stimulation and a brisk walk it was very fast from that point. good luck with the labour and your baby.
