Mary Tillman testified about this today:
.Kauzlarich, now a battalion commanding officer at Fort Riley in Kansas, further suggested the Tillman family's unhappiness with the findings of past investigations might be because of the absence of a Christian faith in their lives.
In an interview with ESPN.com, Kauzlarich said: "When you die, I mean, there is supposedly a better life, right? Well, if you are an atheist and you don't believe in anything, if you die, what is there to go to? Nothing. You are worm dirt. So for their son to die for nothing, and now he is no more — that is pretty hard to get your head around that. So I don't know how an atheist thinks. I can only imagine that that would be pretty tough."
Asked by ESPN.com whether the Tillmans' religious beliefs are a factor in the ongoing investigation, Kauzlarich said, "I think so. There is not a whole lot of trust in the system or faith in the system [by the Tillmans]. So that is my personal opinion, knowing what I know.

This really is a disappointment, when you write anything here expecting to get logic back. I have had it happen so many times, the readers here mainly CAN'T "comprehend" they read but extract zilch! It isn't that you haven't provided a good framework and format to your comments and questions; it's that they are unable to process the written word! You get things like, "what? get a grip" "if you'd learn how to write" "you moron go die" really insulting and making no sense! Anyway---The Tillmans are carrying this way to far as I see it, if the family was not the parents of a famous son, it would never even hit the papers! Friendly fire is not "murder"- "fratricide" is murder! This was the accidental killing during wartime. And our Media carries everything totally overboard to where people become numb to the situation! It's overload on the system and it shuts down. I pray the Tillmans are finding comfort in the wonderful life their son did have. And that they find faith in God who would readily come into their hearts and comfort them if only they would call out to Him! That's my take.

The death of Pat Tillman by friendly fire and the cover up the Bush administration only goes to show at what lengths they will go to propagandize this war. Can't wait to see how the prophets of the GOP (God's Only Party) Jerry, Pat and Jame deal with this issue.

That has to be most f*cked up statement I've heard in quite some time.
edit: I'm talking about what Kauzlarich said, not the question itself. Funny how some people will post an answer without reading the whole question.

you may locate the headline article approximately Pat Tillman on the front website (with shade image of Mr. Tillman in Cardinal uniform on a soccer container) of the Washington situations (not the positioned up!) dated might 3-9, 2004 an quite enlightening article. it incredibly is a weekly version of a countrywide newspaper that's amazingly good that I even have subscribed to for various years now, and the object of his existence and death are o.k. written. greater rather in reaction on your question, you will locate in that article (I stored the paper and am re-examining it as I answer your question) that Pat Tillman grew to become into the final person in the international that concept-approximately himself as a hero. It grew to become into his, how might desire to I say it, concentration and stress in his convictions and how he observed them that made his greatness, and pondering how he have been given the place he did in Afghanistan and in an ambush in the process Operation Mountain hurricane, after giving up a $3.6 million settlement with the Arizona Cardinals "because of fact he had to volunteer for the Rangers (that's U.S. military Rangers) that made him a hero, not who actually shot him. In my books, Pat Tillman a minimum of deserved a medal from the army. He merits a good purchase greater, as does the family that raised him, yet this united states of america isn't patriotic adequate to award him with such. All our squaddies are worth a good purchase greater suitable than what this united states of america provides them, my very own U.S. military son with 2 excursions in Iraq being considered one of them. God Bless Pat Tillman. God Bless my son. God Bless all of our troops. God Bless you.

OH MY GOD. That is possibly the most disrespectful load of bull dung I have ever heard. Where DO people like that get their nerve from? Another religious zealot with a real heart of gold heard from once again. Truly disgusting.
EDIT: This is a great example of how people don't bother to read entire questions and just run off at the mouth without all of the facts. How many people didn't even read it and thought you were saying this yourself about the Tillmans? WAKE UP OUT THERE.

First off... I see a lot of "might" and " Think" in this. So my question is do they really know anything? I doubt it. And last time I looked you did not have to be christian to be in the military.
Point is the Military lied in the begining of what happened to this man, they told the family and media he died by enemy fire when he did not.

I believe he was Christian. Second, none of this is making any sense. Are you saying that the Tillman's are claiming that the reason they weren't told by the military that their son's death was cause by friendly fire is because the military commanders who should have come clean in the first place aren't Christians? Or are you saying that those who killed him aren't Christian? Either way, it's not making any sense.

I'm so glad you found this!
This is one of the hidden flaws in an all volunteer army. For years fundamental Christians have pushed their agenda in the military, from the military Academies all the way to enlisted ranks. Since the military already pushes a black and white version of the world, Christian fundamentalism matched well with it's us or them, sinner or saint reality. Only recently have vets from other faiths started to complain.
This nonsense about Atheists not making good soldiers or not caring about our loved ones is crap.
By the way, since the Tillman's were lied to by the military about their son's death originally, isn't their lack of faith in the military system well founded?

Being a solider no one cares what religion you are. The first things I learned in the military is it doesn't matter what your beliefs are the fact is you have to work together. The fact that people bring up his faith or his family's is a joke. Go crawl back into your hole and finish reading your ann coulter novels.
